Welcome to my portfolio. My name is karen Ivania Coto Alas. I am 21 years old. I am studying languages with specialization on teaching at Don Bosco university. This is my fourth year in the university in which I have learned how to develop my skills as a teacher. Nonetheless, In this course, I am taking instructional Tecnology that is focused on that future teachers learn how to use new technologic tools in their classes. Also, this course have as an objective to encourage future teachers to use the resourses that technology offers on their teaching process. In this website you are going to find some usefull tecnological tools that can be used to develop a class. Also , you will find some features about the tools and information about how to use them in schools actvities.

Story Jumper
This tool provides the opportunity to parents, students and teachers to create a online book. This site has a platform in chich the user can choose the backgrounds, characters and add a text. Also, this site give the opprtunity to teachers to create narrative writing, group book, reflective journal, or teach a new topic. Futhermore, the teacher has the option to add audios to the books so students can practice not only their reading and writting skills but also their listening skills.
How was appied in the course?
In the course, we used this aplicaton to create an online book.We had to create an acount to start making our job. When it was ready to start, we had many options to choose characters, backgrouns, texts, even add a sound. This aplication is very easy to use and the ony thing that we have to do is to use our imagination. Futhermore, we could select to share our book in a private or public way.Also, this site offers a good quality of images and more important, story jumper is free.
